The astronomical data of Proliano da Balvano in a 1477 algorithm
Polo Bibliotecario di Potenza
Presentation of the book by Lucio Saggese dedicated to the numerical tables that Cristiano Proliano, native of Balvano, inserted into a 1477 astronomical algorithm. The work analyzes those astronomical data, restoring value to a little-known piece of Lucanian scientific history. The meeting is held as part of the National Days of Rediscovered Archaeology, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and the Regional Council of Basilicata. Scholars and representatives of local institutions will speak.
