Il 19 settembre 2026 si terranno i solenni festeggiamenti religiosi in onore del Santo Patrono San Cipriano, con processione per le vie del centro storico di Oliveto Lucano. Il corteo religioso percorrerà Piazza Ducale, Via Duomo, Via Marconi, Piazza Umberto I, Via Roma, Viale Italia, Via Vittorio Emanuele III, Via S. Giovanni e Via del Maggio. Per garantire la sicurezza dei partecipanti, dalle ore 17:00 sarà istituito il divieto di sosta nelle strade interessate fino a cessate esigenze.

Centenario del tragico incidente della famosa Banda di Grassano

The Municipality of Grassano and the Associazione Archivio Storico Biblioteca Don C. Rotunno celebrate the centenary of the tragic accident of the Banda di Grassano, which occurred on 17 September 1926. On that day, the band was traveling on a truck to reach Tolve when they suffered a very serious accident in which several musicians died. The tragedy was recounted by Carlo Levi in "Christ Stopped at Eboli". The program, which starts on 17 September 2026 and runs until December, includes exhibitions, meetings and publications to give voice and visibility to the history of the band and the tragic event.
